Designs

EDGE TO EDGE A - Edge to Edge A is a simple all over pattern such as clouds, waves and medium to large pantograph. These designs are good choices for busy quilts that need something attractive and unobtrusive to hold them together.

EDGE TO EDGE B - Edge to Edge B is a more tightly spaced pantograph. These designs are great for quilts with a special theme or for a special occasion. New babies, birthdays, holidays. Pet lovers, gardeners, car fanciers, campers. Music, birds, fans and frogs.

CUSTOM - Custom quilting is treating the body of the quilt and the border separately. A pantograph with a coordinating border pattern or block motifs and coordinating borders. This choice has oodles of options for enhancing your masterpiece.

HEIRLOOM - Heirloom quilting is very close and dense stitching. An example would be quilting separate motifs in different parts of each block rather than one pattern encompassing the entire block. This also includes four or more block motifs on one quilt top.

HALF BINDING - Half binding your quilt includes making double fold binding from fabric you have supplied and machine stitching it to the front of the quilt, so that you can hand stitch it to the back.

FULL BINDING - Full binding includes making double fold binding from fabric you have supplied and machine stitching it to your quilt, sending her home completely finished.

BASTING - Basting is four stitches to an inch in a 3" to 4" grid. I also like to baste the perimeter to add a little extra stability to those stretchy edges. This stitching is very easy to remove as you go along or after you have finished lovingly hand quilting your treasure.

HANGING SLEEVE - The hanging sleeve is sewn to the back of the quilt. It will hold a dowel for hanging on the wall. Tab-style top is another option for hanging a wall hanging.

PIECE BACK - If you like, I'll put the back together for you. Just pre-wash the fabric and include it in your package.

BATTINGS - I carry three types of Quilters Dream batting to choose from:

Dream Angel - 100% Flame Retardant fibers. Man made fibers that are inherently flame retardant. Flame retardant qualities will not wash or rub off. No chemical additives. Fibers will not melt or flow when in contact with flame. Dream Angel is breathable and has a natural look and feel.
Dream Blend - 70% cleaned natural cotton and 30% soft fine denier poly microfibers. Strong, stable, soft and drapeable.
Dream Cotton - 100% pure USA high grade cotton. Environmentally friendly. No scrim, resins or binders.
